And: The files that were in the database as attachments don't work anymore either. If I click on an attachment that was uploaded in the old version I get an error, see sshot-3. |

Not enough information to be able to help - this is most likely a server or configuration issue. Your screenshot sshot-2.png shows a HTTP 500 error, so you should check your webserver logs, you may find additional info there. For the upload part, the browser console may help as well. |

Hi, everything else except the up and download works. Here are the log entries, do you have a hint for me? I am no real admin wizard so help would greatly be appreciated. 2020-08-29 06:25:12 81.169.128.35 GET /mantis/fonts/open-sans-v15-latin-regular.woff2 - 80 - 87.123.243.129 Mozilla/5.0+(Windows+NT+10.0;+Win64;+x64)+AppleWebKit/537.36+(KHTML,+like+Gecko)+Chrome/84.0.4147.135+Safari/537.36+Edg/84.0.522.63 http://www.MyPage.de/mantis/css/fonts.css 404 3 50 62 |

I did the following: I just went back 1.2.19 and checked if I can open files there. Its exactly the same database and the same data. The files could be downloaded and seen, see screenshot. So its not the server that has a problem but it must be some config issue with the new version that might not yet be correct. |
|
Another thing is awkward, maybe these two issues are connected? I just did a clean install of 2.24.2. No old files anywhere. 3 cfgs in config with just a few strings. As you can see from the screenshot above and below, the colours and layout are still "old mantis" with the blue area. It looks a lot different form the output I get from the version I am just typing in. How is this possible as the installation was "clean". Thanks in advance |

1.2.x and 2.x.x can't use the same database. See Step 5 at https://mantisbt.org/docs/master/en-US/Admin_Guide/html-desktop/#admin.install.upgrade Furthermore your screenshot show, that you don't use the original CSS files of Mantis. |
|
With regards to the log excerpt you posted in 0027171:0064318, this is a webserver access log - the only thing this tells us, is that you're getting a 404 (not found) error on You need to find the php error log for details. |

Thank you both. I am sorry but I am quite new to the matter. I had updated the database. that worked fine. But how can I be using "none original CSS files from Mantis" if I unpacked the Mantis-Zip and did not change anything? I do agree that the blue I am seeing does not fit the current style but I don't know where it comes form. Is there some config that doesn't lie within the mantis folder? I will check for the PHP logs. Maybe my php needs an Update? Thanks for all your assistance till here. Sure hope I get this solved... |

Did you clear your browser cache ? Did you run admin/check/index.php ?
Have you set |

Youre great :) Adding the line [ExtensionList] to my php.ini did the upload trick. I also read the mantis manual. For newbies like me it would be cool if you could just shortly explain how to add Fileinfo, i.e.: On Windows systems go to your PHP folder (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\PHP\v5.6), open php.ini. Find the section [ExtensionList] and add check for the line "extension=php_fileinfo.dll". If you can't find it add it. Check the folder in the variable extension_dir (it might look like this: extension_dir="C:\Program Files (x86)\PHP\v5.6\ext\"). Check that the dll can be found there. It normally is php_fileinfo.dll. If it does not exist you can for example download it from here: XXX. Please then open your file config\config_inc.php and add check for the line "$g_allow_file_upload = ON;". If its missing, please add it. I then deleted the browser cache. Tataa! Everything works now as it should. Thank you all so much for your help, I am a very happy user now :) This issue can be closed. Kind regards - Bat |
